Install
There is no store listing. InspectDock has not been submitted to the Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons, Firefox Add-ons or Opera Add-ons. Anyone offering you an "InspectDock" extension today is not us.
Build it from source
You need Node 22.23.1 or newer, because the test suite relies on Node running TypeScript directly.
git clone https://github.com/callsmasterofficial/tool-box-extension.git
cd tool-box-extension
npm run build
Then, in Chrome:
- Open
chrome://extensions - Turn on Developer mode
- Choose Load unpacked and select the
distfolder - Pin InspectDock to the toolbar
Open the toolbar with the toolbar icon, or Ctrl+Shift+A (Cmd+Shift+A on macOS).
What to expect
- Nothing appears on a page until you open the toolbar there.
- The extension starts without cookie access and without access to other domains. Tools that need either will ask, for one site at a time.
- Running your own JavaScript needs you to turn on user scripts for the extension, which Chrome gates deliberately. The Code Injection tool explains how.
Other browsers
Edge, Opera and Firefox packages have not been built or tested. We will say so here when they have been, rather than implying it from the fact that they are Chromium-based.
